Two people join forces to investigate a ten-year old accident that killed their parents and find love.
At twenty five, Ashley Satchel still has nightmares from the night she lost her parents in the fire at the Carlyle House ten years ago. Now she has a chance to find closure by buying the house and demolishing it, but there's just slight wrinkle in her plans, thirty-year old Caucasian beefcake Ron Noble.

Ron’s father died while rescuing Ashley's parents, but the heroic deed was shadowed by rumors that he’d started the fire. Now, Ron has received new evidence that could clear his father’s name, and the only person who can help him is Ashley. He's willing to sell her the house but only after she helps him solve the mystery of what happened the night of the fire.

Unaware of Ron’s true motive, Ashley joins forces with him. But the two soon find themselves against a foe hell-bent on silencing anyone who was at Carlyle House the night of the fire. With the body count on the rise and shocking revelations at every turn, it takes them a near-death experience before they realize that the only way for them to have a future together is to let go of the past.
